Counseling and Ecotherapy are services people get most benefit from by fully engaging in the process. We will work together to identify and promote what needs to change, unfolding in time with your presence and essential participation in your journey through life.
Walking and talking is one of many Ecotherapy approaches. It’s not suited for everyone, and is not appropriate for every type of therapy issue. We will discuss taking therapy on the trail during the intake phase to determine whether it is a treatment approach that works for you.
I am a professional Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience attending to people in clinical settings since the mid 1990s. My education, training and experience speaks for itself, and is evidenced in every clinical relationship I cultivate with people who allow me to join their journey.
If there are questions about fees I am very interested to listen, explore and find mutual understanding.

Payment by Insurance: Many health insurance carriers accept therapists as out-of-network providers. It is up to you to contact your insurance carrier regarding this type of coverage. If you wish to seek reimbursement for the costs of these services from your health insurance, please request a statement you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
How do you access your out-of-network benefit? On the back of your insurance card, there should be a toll free number for questions related to your mental health benefit. When calling, be sure to check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions: What are my mental health benefits? What is my deductible and has it been met? How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover? How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider? What is the usual and customary amount for a LMFT in the San Francisco Bay Area? Must I obtain a referral or prior approval from my primary care physician?
